Reduce Your Payroll Costs!

An important consideration in hiring any employee is the costs and risks of hiring new staff.

Recent legislation has financially empowered employers to give serious consideration to recruiting and hiring individuals with special needs.  To make hiring people with special needs even more attractive, the federal government has created a program, known as the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), that make hiring people from this untapped labor source a very profitable choice.

Employers who hire one or more of these capable workers can receive a 40% tax credit, up to $8,500. The WOTC is issued for each qualified employee, for wages paid during the first year of employment.

Yearly Wages  $6,450
WOTC Credit  - $2,580
Net Wages $3,870

In this program the employee must work a minimum of 400 hours. For a typical employee that works 20 hours per week, at minimum wage of $6.25 per hour, the preceeding benefits would accrue to the employer under this program. As clearly shown, there are real incentives, to investigate the hiring of people with special needs.
